I love that anything on this planet can serve as a backdrop. I enjoy discovering locations and places during my travels, whether I'm on a train or wandering through a random street in Italy. I found this really cool place in Milan and was surprised it wasn't packed when I stumbled across it.
I got off at Piola Station and walked along Via Giuseppe Balzaretti in Milan, where I saw these beautiful painted buildings. I wanted to take some self-portraits but forgot my tripod. Fortunately, I met a lovely woman who was also trying to take self-portraits. Not wanting to waste my trip, I decided to ask if I could take some photos of her.
This was a big deal for me, as I'm used to taking my own photos and wasn't sure if capturing someone else would feel the same. Despite my limited Italian, I asked if I could take her photo.
I never knew that street photography could be so much fun. I've focused the lens on myself for so long and primarily shot indoors that I lost out on so much fun shooting strangers. I'm really looking forward to doing more of this.
